Pixelweb

Pixelweb have been using Google apps for some time and run all mail and calenders through Google using our domain name eg Google calendar is accessed via calendar.pixelweb.co.nz.

Recently Google has been adding third party apps to it's Google Marketplace which adds some great functionality.

We have decided rather than having two separate websites to maintain that we will now have the blog contained within our Joomla website. Word press is truly a great platform for blogging (and now for many as a CMS). With a great backend and ability to update the software so easily.

I was reading a post recently about must have iPhone apps so I thought I would post my own! These are mostly business related ish with their iPhone links:

1. Prowork Flow - Currently our Project Management Software of choice this makes sure we turn a profit (of sorts) and comes with a great iPhone app.
2. Linkedin – OK so this is abit of an excuse to spend time on ‘business’ related activities but does have a cool app.
3. TVNZ – For anyone in New Zealand this is a great app to keep uptodate with news and sport (I did say business news didn’t I?)
4. Box – Box.net is a great online file storage platform to share files etc. Also comes with a great app
5. Skype – If your near a wireless network make free calls and chat with work colleagues.

I’m probably a little slow with getting on board with Linked in, I’ve been getting some requests from people I know to join up so I thought I would have a look.

Like most people I’m pretty busy so the thought of having to update something else wasn’t getting me over excited I’m struggling with a blog, twitter and face book and for the last 6 weeks I’ve done a poor job of doing any of them!
